Brief Biography
Bo Han is currently an Assistant Professor in Machine Learning and a Director of the Trustworthy Machine Learning and Reasoning Group at Hong Kong Baptist University, and a BAIHO Visiting Scientist at the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (RIKEN AIP), where his research focuses on machine learning, deep learning, foundation models, and their applications. He was a Visiting Faculty Researcher at Microsoft Research (2022) and a Postdoc Fellow at RIKEN AIP (2019-2020). He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Technology Sydney (2015-2019). During 2018-2019, he was a Research Intern with the AI Residency Program at RIKEN AIP, working on trustworthy representation learning (e.g., Co-teaching and Masking). He also works on causal reasoning for trustworthy learning (e.g., CausalAdv and CausalNL). He has co-authored a machine learning monograph, including Machine Learning with Noisy Labels (MIT Press). He has served as Area Chair of NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, and UAI. He has also served as Action (Associate) Editor of Transactions on Machine Learning Research and IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, and Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Machine Learning Research and Machine Learning Journal. He received Outstanding Paper Award at NeurIPS and Outstanding Area Chair at ICLR. He received the RIKEN BAIHO Award (2019), RGC Early CAREER Scheme (2020), MSRA StarTrack Program (2021), and Tencent AI Faculty Research Award (2022).

Professor Huang is a professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Software Engineering at the South China University of Technology. He is currently serving as an associate editor of IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation (IF: 16.497), Complex & Intelligent Systems (IF: 6.700), and IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence (IF: 4.851), and Director of Teaching Steering Committee for Software Engineering of Undergraduate Colleges and Universities in Guangdong Province. Prof. Huang has made great contributions to the scholarship on the theories and application of intelligent optimization algorithms. For example, he has proposed a time complexity analysis method of real-world evolutionary algorithms, algorithms for efficient and accurate image matting, a method for automated test case generation based on path coverage, etc. Prof. Huang has hosted more than ten national and provincial projects. He has published two books, Theory and Practice of Intelligent Algorithm and Theory, Methods and Tools for Time Complexity Analysis of Evolutionary Algorithm. He has also published more than 80 papers in IEEE TCYB, IEEE TETC, IEEE TSE, IEEE TEVC, IEEE TIP, IEEE TFS, and Science China, including ESI highly cited papers. Moreover, Prof. Huang attaches great importance to bridging theory and practice. He has 63 domestic invention patent applications and 16 PCT patent applications, with 37 invention patents granted in China and five invention patents granted in the United States. He has been granted or has licensed nearly two-thirds of his patented technologies. Additionally, Prof. Huang pays attention to social services. Over the past five years, he has given more than 50 public lectures on science and technology for government offices, primary and secondary schools, CCF, YOCSEF, media, etc. He also values domestic alternatives to foreign software. He has been in charge of the development and release of some public software systems such as www.autosem.net, www.eatimecomplexity.net, and http://energystorage.autosem.net, which have provided free technical service and support for lots of researchers and engineers.

Short Biography
Amit Konar (Senior Member, IEEE) received a B.E. degree in electronics and tele- communication engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (previously, Bengal Engineering College), Kolkata, India, in 1983, and an M.E. degree in control engineering, the M.Phil. degree in system modeling, and the Ph.D. degree in artificial intelligence from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, in 1985, 1988, and 1994, respectively., He is currently a Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, at Jadavpur University. He has published 15 books, 35 peer-reviewed book chapters, over 100 research articles in leading international journals (including 29 IEEE Transactions), and over 250 research papers published in IEEE Flagship Conference Proceedings. He has supervised 29 Ph.D. theses and over 400 master’s theses, all in the broad area of cognitive neuroscience, AI, and robotics. His current research interests include cognitive neuroscience, type-2 fuzzy logic, multi-agent systems, and scientific creativity. He delivered keynote/tutorial speeches at top flagship IEEE Conferences, including WCCI-2020 and ICASSP-2016. He served as the coordinator/principal investigator of several national-level projects funded by the Government of India and industries. He is serving as an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Fuzzy Systems (TFS) and IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence (TETCI) for several years. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the Springer book series on Cognitive Intelligence and Robotics.

Short Biography: Professor Dr. Poom KUMAM
POOM KUMAM received the B.S., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics from Burapha University (BUU), Chiang Mai University (CMU), and Naresuan University (NU), respectively. In 2008, he received a grant from Franco-Thai Cooperation for short-term visited at the Laboratoire de Mathematiques, Universite de Bretagne Occidentale, France. He was also a Visiting Professor for a short-term research with Professor Anthony To-Ming Lau at the University of Alberta, AB, Canada.
He is currently a Full Professor with the Department of Mathematics, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), where he is also the Head of the KMUTT Fixed Point Theory and Applications Research Group and the Center of Excellence in Theoretical and Computational Science (TaCS-CoE) and also the Director of the Computational and Applied Science for Smart Innovation Cluster (CLASSIC Research Cluster). He has successfully advised 5 master’s, and 59 Ph.D. graduates.
He has been Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher (HCR) since 2015,2016, 2017 and 2022. He has also been listed and ranked in the Twelfth Place in General Mathematics among the Top 2% Scientists in the World 2020 (Published by Stanford University in USA). In 2021, Professor Poom Kumam one of the leading professors of applied mathematics in Thailand who work at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), has been ranked as the Mathematics Best Scientist in Thailand (Number 1 Mathematician in Thailand) according to the 2021 Alper-Doger Scientific Index (also known as AD Scientific Index). Furthermore, the AD Scientific Index also ranked professor Kumam as the Natural Science Best Scientist in King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi and number 6 in Thailand. He has also been listed and ranked in the 241th Place in General Mathematics among the Top 2% Scientists in the World 2020 (Published by Stanford University in USA). Professor Dr. Poom Kumam’s locations in the list of the STANFORD UNIVERSITY NAMES WORLD’S TOP 2% SCIENTISTS Out of a total of 17,766 mathematical scientists, Prof. Poom Kumam has been ranked at 138 (Applied Mathematics) and at 197 (General Mathematics) published on 20 October 2021.
He has over 1,200 scientific articles and projects either presented or published. His research interests include fixed point theory, variational analysis, optimization theory, approximation theory, fractional differential equations, differential game, fuzzy soft set, mathematical modeling for fluid dynamics and inverse problems, dynamic games in economics, traffic network equilibria, bandwidth allocation problem, wireless sensor networks, image restoration, signal and image processing, game theory, and cryptology, he also work in Computational Science and Simulation and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). He has provided and developed many mathematical tools in his fields productively over the past years. Moreover, he is on editorial board for more than 50 journals and also delivers many invited talks on different international conferences every year all around the world.

Danilo Pelusi received a degree in Physics from the University of Bologna (Italy) and a Ph.D. degree in Computational Astrophysics from the University of Teramo (Italy). Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Communication Sciences, University of Teramo. Editor of Springer, Elsevier, and CRS books, and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computational Intelligence (2017-2020), IEEE Access (2018-present), IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (2022-present), and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems (2022-present), he is Guest Editor for Elsevier, Springer, MDPI and Hindawi journals. Brief Biography
Hong Wang received a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from the Huainan Institute of Mining Engineering (Huainan Mei Tan Xue Yuan) in 1982, and master’s and doctorate degrees with distinguished grades in process control and power plant engineering from the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Huazhong Gong Xue Yuan, a top 10 Chinese University), Wuhan, China, in 1984 and 1987, respectively. He moved to the UK in 1988 and was a postdoc Research Fellow with Salford University (Salford, UK), Brunel University (Uxbridge, UK), and Southampton University (Southampton, UK) before joining the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), Manchester, U.K., in 1992 as a lecturer in process control. He was then promoted to senior lecturer and reader in 1997 and 1999, respectively at UMIST. Wang was a Chair Professor in Process Control of complex industrial systems at the University of Manchester (a top 25 university in world ranking) from 2002 to 2016, where he was the deputy head of the Paper Science Department, director of the UMIST Control Systems Centre between 2004 – 2007 (which is the birthplace of Modern Control Theory established in 1966). He was a University Senate member and a member of the general assembly for many years during his time in Manchester.
Between 2016 – 2018, he was with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, US Department of Energy (PNNL, Richland, WA, USA) as a Laboratory Fellow and Chief Scientist, and was the co-leader and chief scientist for the Control of Complex Systems Initiative (https://controls.pnnl.gov/team.stm). Hong Wang joined Oak Ridge National Lab as a corporate fellow grade (Comp Title/Job) in January 2019. He is currently a PI for several projects from DoE on transportation systems, hydropower systems, and manufacturing systems.

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Emory University. Before that, I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, where I was working in the Data Mining Group led by Prof. Jiawei Han. Further before, I received my B.Eng. in Computer Science in 2014, from the Chu Kochen Honors College of Zhejiang University, where I was working in the State Key Lab of CAD&CG under Prof. Xiaofei He.
My research interests lie in graph data mining, applied machine learning, knowledge graphs, and federated learning, as well as their applications in recommender systems, social networks, neuroscience, and healthcare.
